Classic of the classics, Les Paul
This is one of the few real icons in electric guitar history, both as a guitarist and as a guitar. The Les Paul Custom is the luxury version of the Les Paul.
It was already elaborately crafted and decorated when it first appeared in the mid-1950s, and it still is todaywith block inlays, "split diamond inlay" in the headstock and multistriped edge inlays. And of course a “real”custom has to be black and have gold hardware. After all, that's what the namesake Les Paul wanted.
Today, the Gibson Custom Shop ensures that the Custom remains as desirable as ever.
